Frequently Asked Questions
- Whenever I load C-Cell I get the error message: ‘Please check/connect the Protection Device at the printer port’
- There are two reasons why this message may appear, these are:
- The Dongle is not connected. Please connect and retry C-Cell.
- A suitable Dongle driver is not installed. If this is the case you can find a Dongle driver set-up program in the ‘Dongle’ folder, this will be in the location where you started the application. The set-up program is called ‘setupx86.exe’
Installing the Dongle Driver
- Load the ‘setupx86.exe’ file located in the\dongle folder.
- From the menu bar select Functions –> Install Sentinel Driver.
- Click the OK button (you do not need to specify the Sentinel Files Path yourself.
- You will then get a message ‘Driver Installed!’ The dongle driver is now installed.
- C-Cell is producing a distorted/incorrect image. How do I solve this?
- This could be due to a loose cable from the C-Cell cabinet to the computer. Close the C-Cell software, and then make sure all of the cables are correctly connected before you run C-Cell again.
- How do I know if one of the lamps has failed?
- The lamp cover at each side of the C-Cell cabinet has vents and it is easy to see if the lamps are still operating. Also the live image on the screen will be dramatically different.
- The calibration procedure will not be successful if a lamp has failed. See ‘C-Cell Lamp Replacement Procedure’ in the MAINTENANCE section of the operation manual.
